Spider & Varicose Vein Removal Newport Beach
La Boutique Aesthetic Clinic in conjunction with Newport Plastic offers two methods for the removal of spider and varicose veins. To determine which method is right for you, please call to schedule a free consultation with Dr. Seify or one of our registered nurses.
Sclerotherapy is performed by Injecting the unwanted veins with a sclerosing solution which causes the target vein to immediately shrink, and then dissolve over a period of weeks as the body naturally absorbs the treated vein. Sclerotherapy is a non-invasive procedure taking only about 10 minutes to perform. The downtime is minimal, in comparison to an invasive varicose vein surgery.
Sclerotherapy is preferred over laser for eliminating large spider veins (telangiectasiae) and smaller varicose leg veins. Unlike a laser, the sclerosing solution additionally closes the “feeder veins” under the skin that are causing the spider veins to form, thereby making a recurrence of the spider veins in the treated area less likely. It is common practice for the patient to require at least two treatment sessions separated by several weeks to significantly improve the appearance of their leg veins.
Laser Vein Removal
La Boutique Aesthetic Clinic offers EVLT®, targeted laser energy used to close the vein shut and help in making you look and feel better fast. The benefits of the procedure are relief from heaviness in the legs, in addition to an overall wellbeing. You will have the confidence to show off your legs, regardless of the weather or season.
The EVLT® procedure is a minimally invasive laser procedure in treating spider and varicose veins. The laser energy minimizes the vein walls, shrinking them and closing the faulty vein so that the blood cannot flow through it. This eliminates the appearance and bulging of the vein at its source. After the treatment, the blood in the faulty veins will be diverted to the many normal veins in the leg.
The procedure leaves no visible scarring; there is minimal postoperative pain, and a quick recovery period gains immediate relief from symptoms. Walking immediately after the procedure is encouraged. Minor soreness and bruising can be treated with over-the-counter, non-aspirin pain relievers as needed. It is well documented that EVLT® has a 98% initial success rate with excellent long-term results.
